How much does it cost to have someone provide a voice for my project?
That depends on the project, of course, but it’s usually based on market size for commercials or size of the project for non-commercial uses, like industrial narrations, documentaries or presentations. Send me an email and we can work something out, I assure you!
Will you provide a custom audition?
Certainly! I do them all the time. It‘s the only way you’ll know if I’m the right voice for your project.
Can you provide audio via ISDN?
Sure! I just need a little advance notice to make the arrangements. I have access to a number of studios with ISDN if necessary. ISDN to my main studio is coming someday…hopefully soon.
What’s your “signature” voice?
Well, if you want to get technical, here are the specs: I’m a baritone with Standard English pronunciation, with a voice “color” of orange or gray, but can do yellow, red and some brown, too. I’ve been described as “authoritative without being condescending”, with a “…crisp and distinct articulation”. I can usually pronounce tough words pretty easily, too, if that helps you.
What’s your background?
I started out doing commercial work in broadcasting back in the 80’s. From there it was a natural progression to narrations, on-hold messages and more. I’ve got a degree in Radio-Television Communications, a BBA in Marketing and an MBA, so I understand and “speak business” if that’s what you need.
